Afternoon cakes

Halfway through my two weeks of being signed off work with sciatica and a visit to the osteopath beckoned. Last weeks visit worked wonders ..... for all of ten minutes. I had no pain and no limp and then I drove for 25minutes back to work and the whole area had just tightened up again by the time I got out of the car. I hate being incapacitated and so I visited the doctor on Monday and got a carrier bag full of drugs though I'm not sure they're doing any good as my back is still twinge-ing and the nerves in my right leg jangling. Anyway I was determined not to let my ailment stop me from doing things I enjoy so I headed into Cupar early so that I could do a trawl (or rather a limp) around the charity shops before going to the osteopath. Good day today for it - I got a scroll-like map of India for £1.25 and a mounted old map of Minorca for 75p. Maps are my new favourite thing!

The osteopath visit didn't make me feel much better so I don't think I'm going to go back. I might try Alex's physiotherapist next week instead. Talking of Alex she was due to pop round later this afternoon so I decided to go to Fisher & Donaldson to get some good cakes for afternoon tea. I didn't know if she had ever tried a coffee tower so I got some of those and also tipsy cake as that is always a "must buy" whenever I see it in a bakery. Had eaten some before I thought to take a photo of it. I always photograph tipsy cake to send to Al so that he can slaver over missing out on it.
