Our first proper day in La Paz, since the day after a night bus can usually be written off. We had our 12 bed dorm to ourselves and woke up to the unlimited pancake breakfast again. Later we headed into town and finally felt the effects of being 3000m above sea level and not having nearly enough oxygen. Walking up a flight of stairs felt like all the effort in the world but after many many stops we eventually made it to a cool veggie restaurant called Namas Te. The £2.50 menu del dia gave us 4 courses of good food and the energy to climb back up the hill to the La Paz witches market. We ended up in some shops nearby and all left with some new jewellery. Afterwards we visited an art gallery of Mamani, a popular Bolivian artist who's studio we went to in Cochabamba, and spent more money on cards and postcards of his prints.
