Stranded

This morning I went to Tadcaster to visit the bank and collect a few bits from the supermarket.

Whilst there I wandered along the river bank towards the weir and noticed this tree stuck over the edge with the water piling up around it.

I took a few wide shots, but then zoomed right in to get the detail of the tree and the water splashes. I used a fast(ish) shutter speed to freeze the water motion - view large to see the drops!
