Braving the wind

These Oystercatchers were stoically facing the wind which was very strong at the sea...... they usually make a lot of noise, but I think they were conserving their energy.  It was also for us a very bracing walk along the shore.  There were lots of kites out too and I took many pictures but in the end I liked this one.
