Bridge over the dyke

There is something about this picture that reminds me of Holland.  I should not be surprised as this area of Lincolnshire is called South Holland and quite a few buildings and street names have a Dutch influence.  Dutch engineers were involved with land drainage and some of the seed firms have Dutch origins.

The valuer came from the auction house so the sale of clocks to make way for Fenland photographs in the shop is one step closer!
