Red Squirrels

Red squirrels are indigenous to the Isle of Wight, we have no grey squirrels here. It is said that if a grey squirrel is seen on a ferry, the ferry will turn back to the mainland, to protect our red squirrel population. 

I am lucky enough to have a small colony of these guys at home, they come to feed throughout the day (costs a fortune in peanuts!). They are great to watch and very comical. I first put up the squirrel feeder about 10-12 years ago and was amazed that it only took 20 minutes for them to figure out how to use them.
