Lazy Saturday

Not quite true but it went differently to planned.

4 of us headed off towards Akaroa but the weather wasn't in our favour. All the tops were clagged in damp cold and wind chill was perishing. We retreated to Akaroa to refuel with coffee and think of a plan B.

But the clag only spread and layered thicker. Our decision stood. Instead we pottered about, laughed a lot, checked out options for another time (with lots of wrong turns), laughed some more, checked out another cafe and finally got back to Christchurch.

While exercise was off the menu, part of the house is clean and I picked up a photo I've had framed for Dr B. The result is magic :-)

Still a good day topped off by my first soak in the bath since before the earthquakes. Not a place I'd like be caught upstairs in a decent shake ;-)
