Just popping out to the shops
The quickest way is across the frozen lake. SR here on her way back.
The temperature is a around zero degrees which is warm for this time of year and makes waxing your skis quite tricky. We went for a red -1 to +2 which for SR had almost no grip at all and for me gripped the snow so hard that any loose snow in the track accumulated under my ski so that after 10 or 15 mins the platform created under my heal would have done any 70s Glam rock band proud. I stopped 4 times to scrape the snow off and we only skied 5k. So I think we can say that was the wrong wax. I hear buthers has some hi tech wax made from the stuff they put in toothpaste that does a lot better.
