Fresh

I used to like tulips better. They are showier and can be more dramatic. We had hundreds of tulips at our wedding.

But now, I think I like daffodils better. Their cheerful yellow faces, especially when surrounding a bare oak tree, captivate me.

Everything is becoming fresh when the daffodils arrive. Nothing is wilting or fading. I suppose it's the promise of renewal that attracts me.
