Newcraighall
Went to Newcraighall today to visit a potential new school for Miss L. It's a former mining village between two railways and its feature is the "Dr Andrew Balfour drinking fountain" with its fetching colour scheme. According to the inscription, the good doctor took a great interest in the village for 30 years, and this was erected six months after his death in 1906.
Earlier we'd learned that Mme A needs an operation on her wrist which will happen tomorrow.
