Door In The Wall
Our little team at work was very depleted today. Someone on holiday, someone off sick, someone who went home sick, someone else still on long term sick leave and then there are the vacancies we are carrying that we are not allowed to fill.
A meeting at the Parliament finished slightly earlier than expected, so I was in good time for my train home. But then guess what – it was cancelled!!! Again!!! Another complaint to Scotrail will be lodged this evening. Not that it will do any good. Here’s an extract from the response I got to the complaint I lodged last week – and this is the bulk of the letter:
I am sorry that you have had cause to complain.
ScotRail is committed to providing a quality service and to run all trains on time and I was concerned to learn of the repeated delays you have encountered when travelling on this line. I can confirm that this service was cancelled due to signal problems in the area.
Another week when I have had to deliver BB to Cubs without time for tea and my blood pressure has gone through the roof. Maybe I should reduce my hours so that I can go for a train in the afternoon in the hope that I can get home on time to pick him up on time.
I managed a very quick trip to John Lewis at lunchtime for a birthday present and spotted this on my way back to the office. I wonder what is behind that door?
Sorry that there is no Tudor blip today, as true to form BB did not dress up for World Book Day. He did take his Horrible Histories book with him to school.
