World Book Day
It's World Book Day today so here are a few titles from the groaning shelves. There's one book here without words & it was a fantastic resource for creative writing in my teaching days. Putting words to pictures was great fun. Although I've sold out to Kindle for some reads, particularly fiction, there's something satisfying about the look and feel of a book, particularly ones with strong graphic content.

Viv Bird, chief executive of Booktrust, conducted research into reading habits. The conclusions of the research were ".... frequent readers are more likely to be satisfied with life, happier and more successful in their professional lives."
