Cross my heart.

This is my first ever blow glass project. This project is 8 weeks where we have to make 5 objects based on the theme 'contain'.

Now, those of you who know me know this, but I can't keep secrets. Ever. In fact I'm the worst person to tell if you have a secret. I will listen and I will try my hardest but at least 1 person will be told this secret. This piece is to represent the stages I go through when these things occur.

The first being the leering, nosy side of me that wants to find out what I can and try to be all curious.

The second object is me holding onto the secret once it's been told. If you look closely then you can see the wrinkles which presents the idea of it straining me or showing discomfort.

The third is the pressure it feels to hold a secret as I try to hold it in I only want to explode. This shows the tension in the glass where I physically can't hold it in.


The fourth is the explosion of both the secret, my mind and the broken barrier of trust people have in me. This one wasn't supposed to be smashed but the kiln shelf fell down.

Finally, we are back to the beginning when exploring how I am back to my leery, curious stage. It all goes round in a circle.
