Catkin Jungle

Not far from my house a willow tree is in full catkin phase. I took a number of shots looking up into the tree which created a jungle effect and I really liked the shots.... in colour!

Always the difficulty with monochrome, colour had the individual strands standing out nicely but in black and white I have a serious case of clutter to contend with. 

So from those taken I managed to settle on this one.
