Surprised squirrel

This is one of the many busy squirrels I saw in the park. They were scampering up and down trees, chasing each other through the leaves, and, of course, hiding nuts to dig up during the winter. Today is a three-layer-day: tee-shirt, sweat shirt, and jacket...and the cold air still crept in. Off and on clouds and some pretty stiff breezes made it seem even colder, but it was invigorating...to say the least. The weatherman promises more of the same and maybe a little rain for the remainder of the week. Summer is definitely over.
