Hotel Oregon Rooftop in McMinnville

This finely restored hotel has incredible original artwork. Consistent with the style employed in other restorations by the McMenamins Brothers in the Pacific Northwest.

It was in 1950, that one of the most famous and earliest UFO photos was taken by a farmer, not far from here. The ufofest has the celebratory alien street parade of characters and the serious side this year includes talks by Travis Walton, "Fire in the Sky", Stanton Friedman, one of the most important investigators of ufology, and Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center. We just might take the ride from Portland this year, after saying it for the last 14 years.
