White-browed Ccoucal - Centropus Superciliosus
This a species of cuckoo and found in sub-Saharan Africa. It inhabits areas with thick cover in order to 'disappear' when I want to snap it! :-(
According to popular Southern African lore, this species' distinctive call, which resembles water pouring from a bottle, is said to signal impending rainfall, earning the bird the affectionate moniker rainbird.
Charmaine and I are 'chasing' him for a couple days already, he makes the most peculiar sounds, non-stop, but as soon as I get him in my lens, he just simply disappears into the thick cover of the tree! Eish! I will however keep on trying! LOL.
