Pistil, stamen, petals.....on my

This is a bloom on my nectarine tree. I probably will never get any fruit on this tree, but I love the blooms. My area of Oregon may not be warm enough for nectarines; I thought I could nurture it, but it hasn't happened yet. I will probably keep it anyway.

This year is the first time I have actually looked closely at the blossoms on the fruit trees. The stamen seem to sparkle and the pistil seems to be bright yellow, at least that is what I think they are. What I know for sure is that the small blossom is fascinating and beautiful. 

Another lovely sunny Oregon day.....we really never had a winter this year. It seems so unfair when so many have had an extremely cold snowy winter. We are going to have to turn on our sprinklers if we don't get more rain soon.
