Freezing Rain Today

My one and only shot today (well, if you don't count the out-of-focus shot of a peanut... and I don't). ;-) 

It looked like snow, but when you were out in it, it felt like pellets attacking your skin.  A fine, stinging, frozen rain fell for most of the day and it left a 3 inch crust on the ground that made our evening walk a little awkward...  

It's a wonder that the birds can fly in that kind of mess.
