Bling?

Today a visit to Port Arthur Historical Site, Tasmania. This was the penal station established in 1830 for the convicts sent from the UK to Australia. For those convicts who would not change their ways they were locked up for 23 hours each day in a single cell. Here they ate, slept and worked with just 1 hour a day allowed for exercise alone in a high walled yard. They also were required to wear the latest bling at all times – the blip is of one of a pair of leg irons which were connected together with a heavy chain which they had to wear all times. (24/7)
