Chinese opera and costume
Chinese calligraphy and painting talk done today. You've seen the evolution of the Chinese character 舞 (dance) already (which I re-used) and actually no one took photos for me today. So I have to move on to my next topic Chinese operas and costumes.
These two figures represent the two roles in Beijing Opera - the female being the Wu Dan (武旦) role which indicates a female military (martial art) figure (based on the flags on her back - representing her troops - and the whip in her hand - representing her horse) and the male being the Wu Sheng (武生) role which indicates a male military figure - like a general or a marshal.
Played table tennis knockout match tonight with a lower division team. We gave away 100 points to start with but didn't outscore them eventually, although we won most of the games.
Thankfully tomorrow no talk so I can have a bit time to rest myself. Still need to work, though.
