Double Standards.

Here's a very Irish thing.
We have led the world in our opposition to smoking.
Though a lot of Irish people smoke, me included.
We were the first in Europe to ban smoking in the workplace, which included pubs.
And today we have passed a law that all cigarettes must be sold in plain packaging.
All forms of cigarette advertising are banned.
And yet.......
Most pubs have these old metal signs decorating their premises.

Just one of many things that amuse me.
