Deerness
I walked around Mull Head in bright sunshine but also in a biting North wind. A male merlin, our smallest falcon, flew from a fence and quite low overhead, but rather too quickly for me to try for a photo. Within a few minutes I also saw a hen harrier and a peregrine. On the cliffs and swimming nearby were lots of razorbills and guillemots and a few black guillemots. I made coffee in the lee of the rocks just by where I took this shot, which looks toward Copinsay and the Horse of Coinsay to the left of the shot.
