The demise of a majestic gum tree

Unfortunately, these beautiful trees outgrow their welcome in suburbia and this one now no longer graces my neighbour's backyard. I'm pleased - and sad - that it's gone. Pleased that it will not come down on one of our roofs in a storm; sad that such a beautiful specimen had to go.
