Guess who got a new tripod?

I bought a new, lightweight tripod last week in advance of a picture-worthy trip we're going on soon and decided to give it a test run this morning.

It passed the main challenge - weight - with flying colours. It's basically so much lighter than my camera that I don't even notice it.

Sadly, I'd left my outing a bit late this morning, and the sun was being stubbornly shiny and bright, so I couldn't blur the motion as much as I'd wanted. Still, the whole point was to see how much of a pain it was to carry the tripod for an hour or so, and it was absolutely fine. 

That's two mono shots in a row. Might make this mono week and pretend I had a theme going on...
