Dainty

I'd say this is the same dainty swallowtail as yesterday – it was in the same place, doing the same swoopy flying around and around. It landed briefly! This is obviously a much better image of the butterfly than the mono one, as you can see its lovely delicate patterning and colour. But you have to see it fly to really appreciate it's full beauty – it has a certain elegant swoopiness about it that sets it apart from all those fluttery common browns and skittish skippers.
