Getting ready for winter

Farmerboy and our worker (M) have been busy this afternoon sawing up the tree that fell down a few days ago.  M is here busy chainsawing, while Farmerboy was loading the cut logs onto the trailer.  The next step is to split it all.  A big job - but a necessary one.

It's hard thinking about winter, when we have only just moved into autumn, and especially since we are in the middle of a drought.  

Son T and his friend went kayaking after school.  The river is so low, which restricted what they could do in their kayaks. Hopefully the rain that is due to fall in the weekend will arrive.
