View of the Tyne, Newcastle

Taken from the Swing Bridge, between Newcastle and Gateshead.  The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is in the distance.
I was visiting Newcastle to take my daughter to an open day at Newcastle University the following day.
We didn’t arrive at the hotel until after 10pm having left Coventry before 5pm.  I only had half an hour at home since driving from my office at 3:30pm.  My daughter and I ate at the hotel, but she wouldn’t go exploring with me.  I decided to do so, on her behalf!  I only managed to “make” it for a pint 15 mins before closing time at the only nearby bar that was open (midnight closing time).  However, I did manage to chat to the staff who pointed me in the direction of a very decent pub (Lady Grey) that kindly shut at 2am.  I only stayed for 1 pint, then walked back to the hotel, camera out.  This shot was taken at 1:30am.  It’s definitely a good way to wind down after driving all day!
