Handsome Fellow

I took a day off today and drove with Basil to Nanpantan Reservoir. The breeding pair of Canada Geese are there. They do their courting at the reservoir and then move off somewhere else to have their brood.

This chap's looking in fine fettle. But they are SO messy! You have to be careful where you tread as you walk round.

I went in search of the apple trees on the bank by Woodbrook Stream which flows past the reservoir. I have apple trees in mind for a photographic project.

They are beautifully gnarled and bent, and the light was shining on them, which was good. Five minutes later and a sleet storm started.
