New arrivals!!

It was not a surprise to find the nest box empty this morning, after all the activity yesterday. They did well to raise 5 out of the 6 eggs which were laid. This is a better outcome than last year when only 2 survived from 8 eggs laid.

I haven't seen any sight of them in the garden today, they are probably safely tucked away somewhere.

We are in the process of clearing G'dad's bungalow now that he has finally decided that he doesn't wish to live independently. It's a job to be done in stages each time we are over. Last weekend's collection included these tiny soft toys, which have sat on a box for about 20 years (easy to see that no small children or dogs ever visited).

I expected B to say..."in the bin", but no, they went into a small net bag, have been washed and didn't disintegrate!! Goodness only knows where or why they were bought!! The question is "what are we going to do with them"? They are not safe for small children.

Did another session in the garden today and I'm in the process of compiling a "to do list" for the next couple of days as B is a way for the weekend running a course.
