Who Poo?

We had a National Park Ranger come into school this afternoon to help my class make a load of bird boxes for the Pied Flycatcher, a visitor to these parts in the coming months.  He was ace and they made a load of them that will be put up in a couple of woods in the Peak District.

So whilst he oversaw the construction, I did the mature thing and giggled at bird names that were similar to rude words with some of my class.  After getting them to look up the scientific name of a mallard for a quick laugh, me and this pupil had a nice round of "Who poo? You poo?" after she found this species, which is probably pronounced in a much more sensible way.

I knew my degree in Zoology would come in useful one day.

I should not be left in charge of children.
