Life through the lens...

Sea Fever

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flurry spray and blown spume, and sea-gulls crying.

Part of John Masefields poem "Sea Fever".

Today has been such a day.
The wind whipping up the waves, and so strong it nearly blew me off my feet when I walked along the cliffs at Godrevy.
The top photo was one I just managed to take , as I tried to hold the camera steady!
But how wonderful. This place never fails to take my breath away, and today that cold wind certainly did!

To my amazement a kestrel , who was also battling with the weather, landed on a post just in front of me.
He stayed long enough for me to focus and take the photo ( bottom left).

After a walk to see the seals( just 3 of them) way down at the bottom of the cliffs, we drove to Marazion, where we had much needed refreshment of tea and cake at the Godolphin Arms Hotel.see here
A beautiful view through the huge windows, of St Michael's Mount, and the sun making the sea sparkle.
(see bottom right)

You can't beat this for a Monday!

May thanks for all your comments while we are on holiday. They are much appreciated.
