Monkey Attack

Gibraltar is known for its colony of Barbary apes and today we went up on the cable car to see them first hand. There are warnings that the monkeys can be troublesome and we witnessed it first hand when this particular individual jumped on a man's back, opened his rucksack and took out what proved to be wet wipes from inside.

Later we witnessed the same monkey grab a woman's carrier bag and go through everything inside. It then sat on the rail with the remains of the bag  and you could see there was still a mobile phone inside. With a vertical drop on one side everyone waited to see which way the monkey would drop the bag and fortunately for the woman he dropped it on the right side of the fence.
