The Blue Lagoon GeoThermal Spa

Day 1 of our Iceland trip and after a wander around the Old Harbour area we went on a trip to the Blue Lagoon Geothermal spa - oh my - what a treat!

After a brief wallow in the salty/warm water we went to the restaurant & had one of the nicest meals I've ever had.

This was followed up with more loading round the pool & a mud mask - heavenly!

It was worth the following 2 days of dreadful tangly/rough hair though!

Sadly it was cloudy and our Northern Lights tour got cancelled so we ended up in a cracking local bar where the staff rewarded is for our geniality & custom by giving us shots of a local liquorice liqueur (chilled), it actually tasted like Olbas Oil & I am qualified to know this now!
