pétanque..

..is very popular in South Australia and the first official club was started in Adelaide in March 1977.

Friends P and T are such enthusiasts that not only do they play regularly they have a pétanque piste (court) at the bottom of their garden.
Under the shade of a mighty river gum the afternoon sang to the rolling of boules, pop of corks and clinking of glasses.
