River Vantaa
at Myllykoski, Nurmijärvi. Not so much water here. In many parts of Finland people are having problems with floods because of the huge amount of snow in the winter. But not in here.
A short story why this place is called Myllykoski.
There has been a water mill in the past. That´s why you can still see man made rocks. The mill was for agricultural purposes, mill the grain.
mill = mylly in Finnish
koski = water rapid
Finnish language is full of compound words, that´s why a mill (mylly) by the water rapid (koski) is named as Myllykoski.
Happy weekend to everyone.
