Two Kitters

Lately, Oliver and Mika have taken to this repose in the early afternoon.

The sun has started appearing more often, and Oliver loves to lay in the rays, as most animals do.

Mika, who loves to roast in front of the fireplace, seems to enjoy a bit of a cooler resting place once she has had her fill of the fire.

Today was one of those days where I would have loved to join them on the sofa. Day off, snow falling, aching back.

Instead, I helped lay carpet, shoveled snow, and made a special Armenian stew.

Looking back at the "kitters," as my daughter dubbed them, I think they had the right idea.

Now...where is my Ibuprofen?
