Yanwath Hall

CC was busy at the workshop working on frames for some pictures she needs for Thursday and I had my lie in.

After lunch we decided to go to Rheged to visit a Homes and Gardens exhibition organised by somebody CC kknows and have another look at the exhibition of Herdwick photos while we were their.

We drove there in an absolute blizzard, fortunately wet snow that was showing no sign of staying.  We spent a couple of hours or so looking at the two exhibitions (the Herdwicks are really worth seeing) and having the inevitable coffee.

When we emerged the weather was surprisingly good considering how it was when we went in.  This is a shot of Yanwath Hall taken from Rheged car park.  The Pele tower is 14th Century and the hall itself 15th and said to be the finest of its type.
