Contemplation

After my invigorating bike ride on the heath yesterday I was feeling extra motivated to get out for a walk in the morning sunshine. I ventured up the lane and went along further than I have been before - up in to the deep single track holloway and along until I reached the end of the road. Here the road turned to a path which ran up through birch woods and on to the heath. It was beautiful with views for many miles but there were also secluded bits of track in the woods. It felt as if I were miles from anywhere. A place for quiet contemplation.
