The Church in Arabba (1)

Today was another very snowy day.  I skiied until quite late but mindful of not making it back yesterday, that I was feeling tired, and that it was last day, I didn’t push my luck and ski until the last lift stopped!
All these Dolomite villages have their own impressive church.  The churches were built in the time when these villages were dirt poor, long before the tourist industry arrived.  That makes me wonder how it felt to be putting scare resources into a church when your family lived in a hovel.  I’m not pushing an agenda here, I really do wonder.
