Walk near Incharoo

Inspite of the rotten weather I met up with friends and walked into the wilds. This is one of about 12 stones in a circle in the middle of an upland bog. Far off the beaten track and seldom ,if ever , visited. Went on to find several more large standing stones, some with a row of up to 3  waist-high ones. Also in the middle of a bog. Found a hidden gulley called The Devil's Bite with a secret shelter which was apparently used by priests as a hiding place in penal times.  There were ruins further down the valley and a mass rock.... it was snowing too.
