Funny old day

I had a good morning.  I baked a huge Victoria Sponge as I needed to use up 4 eggs and then I baked a wholemeal pizza because I had toppings left over from Friday, so that was alright. This afternoon slid slowly downhill though.  First the rugby - oh dear, unless you wear green and then my daughter had asked me to research a day out in London during the Easter Holidays for my granddaughters.  They had a list which included an open-top tour of the typical sights of London.  A visit to the National History Museum and a peek at Harrods.  The Tower of London and The London Eye.  The museum and Harrods were OK if you kept control of the purse strings when inside the emporium but the rest of it! The train fare for 4 of us, the SS bus, the Tower and the Eye - I think I shall have to remortgage the house!
I stomped outside at 4pm and the bright sky was the best I could find in an effort to cheer myself up!
Monday tomorrow and the Dentist to boot!
