Thunderstruck

I walked over Maidenhead thicket to inspect this tree.  It was black inside, and a local dog walker told me it had been struck by lightening, and had since been slowly declining, disintegrating.  She seemed quite pleased I was taking a picture, something she'd thought of doing but hadn't got round to I think.
