The Old Alleys of St Peter Port #20
Today started with bright sunshine and I decided that after ringing the bells for morning service I would once again go in search of the track I was looking for yesterday. I took a few photographs on the way to the church and in the end decided to blip the Pier Steps. These are the main steps which these lead to. At the top of these steps through the archway is the cobbled High Street and you can see right across the road and through the arch which leads up to Lefebvre Street.
I did consider blipping the dog that photobombed my shot of Belgrave Bay, or even one of the colour shots on Flickr but eventually the steps won.
I thought this track might have been beside Ivy Castle or Chateau des Marais, which I had always meant to visit but never got around to so that is where I set off to. It was not particularly impressive; possibly because I'm not really a great history buff and fail to see the excitement of looking at a few walls with or without a roof. It is possible that the track I was looking for did indeed run past Ivy Castle and I simply didn't notice it. Maybe I'll never find the answer. Unless any Guernsey blippers know...
