Stadtplatane

The Stadtplatane is the best known plane tree in Kaiserslautern. It's located in the city center.
In two years the new-to-build shopping-center will be its neighbour.
The roadworks around the Stadtplatane have started.
Last week a WW II bomb was found about 100 m from here. For the defusing the area was evacuated for hours last Thursday. They choose Thursday because it was a holiday and the working people were not involved in the evacuation. (On the map the Stadtplatane is located at the "i")
