St David's Day Welsh Poppy

March 1st is the National Day of Wales, St David's Day.  Neither Mr C or I are Welsh but we choose to live here because we love the country.  We would normally fly the Welsh flag but our flagpole broke away from its moorings in a heavy wind and we are waiting for someone help us put it up again, so there is no picture of the flag today.  Instead I had to cheat a little and find a photo of some Welsh poppies from our garden taken a while ago, but I did the editing today - using Photoscape, a free editor. The poppies are generally yellow but once in a while a red or orange one shows up, as in the image.  I love these plants as they self-seed and bloom for months.
