Limpets
A morning walk for Maeve the Deerhound and I today to avoid the hottest part of the day. The local weather station says it has reached 18C, so not as warm as yesterday but still blue skies as the haar burned off very early.
Down on the beach there was a lovely cooling breeze, so we stayed for a while and pottered about. As we looked for things to blip we saw one of the smaller boats towed down to the water's edge by the red tractor (for those of you who have seen the tractor blips). Maeve definitely enjoyed her walk more today and she wasn't panting when she got home. Neither was there the same rush to the water dish :-)
For the series "interesting little things on the beach" today I have some of the larger shells. There aren't many mussel shells, but there are lots of limpet shells on Westhaven beach. There are whole and broken limpets, the latter either with a hole in the top of the 'cone' or looking like little rings. Quite a variation in size and colour too :-)
