Life in the old girl yet.

Mum phoned to ask if G could take a look at her trusty Dyson (he has connections!). The friend who helps her with housework had mentioned that it wasn't working properly.

I popped in tonight to pick it up, and immediately saw that the hose has literally fallen to pieces!  Mind you, it has been in constant use for many years, being stretched to capacity to go up and downstairs countless times. 

Sadly, rather like Microsoft announcing from time to time that it will no longer support a particular brand (like XP being unsupported last year), Dyson have now stopped being able to provide the spare parts for some of the older models of vacuum like the DC04. 

I'm just hoping G will manage to effect a repair with smoke and mirrors!
