An Old Airman's Life

T&P in Winter Drab

Walked Buddy this afternoon.  I had planned on going for an extended walk but it is way too slippery.  We don't have any real snow removal equipment.  So we wait for the temperature to go above freezing and melt the snow and ice.  Problem is when the temperature approaches freezing a layer of wet lays under the ice and also covers it.  We ice is EXTRA slippery.

So Buddy and I just walked to the park next to  our building.  Our unit is on the ninth floor of the twelve story tower.  Ours is has the two window on the far left, four from the top.  These windows face east.  We also have a series of windows facing south.

You can also  see Buddy's friend Winston and his owner Abby struggling through the crunchy ice in the park.

I hope that it soon will be warm enough that the ice will melt, and Buddy and I can start to wander around town.  When Beemer was younger, we would walk for miles.  I need to do that again.
