That kind of day

5years 130days

There are days in life that deserve an ice cream in each hand. And after yesterday, I thought today was one of them. Last night was bad. But then I expected it. This morning she was fretting about people fussing her at school with her new gap. Then she was fretting about dancing- about if she'd have a new tooth by her exams (she won't) or by her performance (she probably won't). She did decide to go to class though, on my promise I would tell her teacher that she needs to be careful today. Not surprisingly, ballet helped. Ballet always helps.

After class we had plans to go for a "holidays in the weekend" afternoon. I bought her lunch out, but she didn't like it. We started with a game of bowling. She really loved it, had a brilliant time. She liked scoring well herself, LOVED it when I scored well. High 5s, hugs and cheerleading. We went for a babyccino afterwards and got her some toast. Which she didn't want when it arrived. We had booked tickets to see the Shaun the Sheep movie. She liked the first half, cried from the appearance of the animal catcher onwards. So to try cheer her up, our friend bought her a Baskin N Robbins. She chose rainbow sherbet as it looked pretty. She got a tub but they gave her cone too so she had one in each hand. But didn't like it (see the pattern I should already have spotted??). I asked her what she wanted to for tea. She asked for sausage and chips from the fish and chip shop. Guess what.... Yep, she didn't want it.
